Decorate painting and faux finishes can transform the feeling of any space.  Faux finishes can add a look of elegance, recreate the patina of ancient treasures, draw attention to a dramatic focal point, transport visitors to a mystical world, solve spatial problems or simply add warmth and ambiance.  Faux finishing is an affordable way to add romance to any setting and allow it to touch all of the senses.

Transforming Spaces for Two Decades

Ron Layman has created elegant and timeless finishes for commercial and residential clients around the world.  You can view many of the projects he has undertaken for some of the most prestigious institutions in the U.S. and abroad in The Faux School gallery. In addition to teaching at The Faux School, he works regularly with owners, designers, architects and contractors to produce amazing projects on time and on budget.  He accepts commissions of all sizes, from smaller residential projects, to commercial and public assignments of a grand scale, to historical restorations.

From Concept to Completion

Ron is equally comfortable working to a designer’s or homeowner’s specifications or creating a concept from the ground up … or ceiling down, as the case may be. He is especially adept at designing for restaurants, shops and other commercial and public spaces where many can enjoy his work.  If you’re not sure what to do with a space, you’ll find that Ron’s experienced eye and creative input early on in the design process can help a project go from a standstill to successful completion.

Affordable solutions for residential and commercial interiors and exteriors.
