This workshop introduces the most popular types of lime-based “Venetian” plaster imported from Italy. These premium plasters may be used for interior and exterior surfaces and will be covered in-depth during the hands-on workshop.
Toscano lime based Italian plasters are not a “faux finish” they are the traditional materials used for centuries by craftsmen and artisans hand selected by Ronald Layman for his private label brand.
You will find that combing proper techniques and superior materials that these finishes are much easier to accomplish than imagined.
In this workshop, we will work with many pre-tinted colors as well as a few materials that you will have the chance to custom create your own unique color to demonstrate how easily the tint bases are to work with.

This ensures our sessions will provide the individual attention and personalized instruction that is the foundation of The Faux School’s success.
What’s Included in the Fee?
When registering, you will be charged a 50% deposit, and the balance is due upon arrival the first day of your workshop. Workshop fees do not include meals, travel or lodging. The cost of the workshop covers the use of all tools and materials, and you will keep the samples you create during the class. Samples are 16” X 24” and made of a synthetic flexible board for painted finishes and 3/8 hardboard for plaster finishes. All are light weight and fits in a carry-on bag for those traveling by air.
